Koll Leather Straps by Matt Codina
Koll Leather Straps by Matt Codina
from $230.00

New batch! We’re huge fans of the leather goods (and mind-blowing guitar skills) of Nevada-based artisan Matt Codina. We’ve been friends with Matt for years and we’re very proud of our collaboration on these handmade custom leather guitar straps.

The materials and build quality of these straps is incredible. Matt starts with Grade A Hermann Oak vegetable-tanned tooling leather from the oldest tannery in the US. This is one of the finest leathers in the world and will patina SOOOOOOO nicely. The shoulder pads are backed with shearling wool, and the straps feature brass stamped roller buckles made in England. They’re available in black with either a smooth finish, tooled Western design or tooled with studs, and are adjustable Medium to Large length (45”-51”).

This is a limited batch (one dozen, only four straps of each style). They’re a perfect compliment to a Koll guitar, or any guitar for that matter!

Koll High-Rise Pedal
Koll High-Rise Pedal
$225.00

OUR FIRST EFFECTS PEDAL! LIMITED FIRST BATCH!

Over his 30+ years of building and playing guitars, Saul Koll has been a voracious user of overdrive and distortion pedals, starting with the Little Big Muff he bought when he was 13. You name it, he’s used it. In his current band The Lovesores, Saul uses only one pedal, an overdrive, to cut through the mix during solos and be heard above an extremely loud group. So we knew that the first Koll effects pedal had to satisfy Saul’s playing needs, but also be a vehicle to explore other sonic territory.

The High-Rise is a new premium overdrive with massive frequency range and incredible touch sensitivity. High-Rise responds dynamically to your guitar’s tone settings and enhances them; it doesn’t mask them. The “Steel” circuit acts as a clean boost, bringing clear, organic overdrive to any amp or pedal combination. The “Concrete” circuit delivers additional gain, grit, and saturation. Together, the two circuits offer a myriad of tonal possibilities for a wide range of playing styles. Explore and achieve new tones from each side individually, or use them together. Get higher.

The High-Rise was designed by Saul Koll and Portland effects maestro Jack Deville, with graphic design by Aaron Draplin. The knobs were custom designed by Saul and cast by Matt Haramis. It’s true-bypass and runs quietly on a 9VDC adapter or an optional internal 9V battery (run at 18VDC for added headroom and clarity). Every pedal is handmade one-by-one in Portland, Oregon.

“The clean-to-nasty range is occasionally reminiscent of a Klon—though the High-Rise has a touch more character and mid-range presence, and feels slightly more feral at high-gain settings. The pedal’s sensitivity to guitar volume and tone attenuation add more possibilities: You can essentially re-create unfettered guitar/amp tones—but with a touch of extra high-mid octane—by reducing guitar volume. Simple it might be, but the High-Rise is practical and thrilling, and for players that value economy and streamlined control of dynamics, it’s possibly the only gain solution they’ll need.”

2016 Superglide Almighty Baritone
Sold out
2016 Superglide Almighty Baritone
$5,500.00

Here's a special used Koll, a 2016 Superglide Almighty Baritone with a stunning silver sparkle finish. Many of you have seen Saul's personal guitar which is a sparkle Superglide, and this one is basically a baritone version of that. It’s got a low-end growl and a chime-y midrange and it excels at everything from fuzzed-out garage rock to deep jazz to country twang.

Chambered mahogany body with a carved maple top, mahogany neck with ebony board and pearloid split hump inlays. Silver sparkle finish on top with a pearlescent red on the rest of the body and neck. Multi-ply binding on the body, single ply on headstock and neck (with Saul’s trademark Superglide pointed flourish at the bottom of the fretboard). It’s armed with two TVJONES T-Armond pickups, controls are V-V-T with a 3-way toggle and master volume. Bigsby B-3 trem with a Melita-style bridge made by Embie Concepts. It's got a 27 3/4" scale, and a medium C neck carve with Jescar 55085 frets. At 7lbs 7oz it’s surprisingly light for a baritone. Ships in a soft gig bag.

This is a killer, rare custom guitar in near mint condition, and it has been gone over and setup by Saul Koll. $5,500, US buyers only. Please contact us with any questions.
